Primary principals join growing surge of opposition to 11-plus exams

PRIMARY principals have joined the growing surge of opposition to 11-plus exams going ahead this winter.

A small number of grammar schools have said they will not operate unregulated entrance tests.

Children face sitting papers on four consecutive Saturdays in November and December.

The private organisations that operate the exams are under pressure to call them off entirely.

One of the groups, the Association for Quality Education, issued a statement suggesting it was business as usual.
